Jérémy Le Mouël aka Mooven’s

Jérémy Le Mouël

Jérémy Le Mouël was born in Pontivy, Brittany – France in 1984.

Le Mouël originally trained as a baker, but art had always been his passion and his internal driving force.

As a young child Le Mouël discovered his love of art by drawing in his spare time, he felt that this allowed him to escape from everyday life and express what he could not say. Growing up Le Mouël joined a group of five street art painters who called themselves ‘Mooven’s’. To his dismay one of the group’s members died in a motorcycle accident and the group separated. Le Mouël continued to draw alone, keeping the name of Mooven’s as his artist’s name. As time progressed, he started to use more conventional mediums, canvases and acrylic paints in Posca form. Since his arrival on the Côte d ‘Azur, he has created many works based on shadows, and decided to exhibit and present his work to the public.

Le Mouël’s technique involves starting with an image in his mind and recreating it on canvas by tracing images and applying acrylic paint in a Posca style with shadows and shades. He likes to work on a flat surface rather than using an easel to create his unique works which he has been exhibiting in Europe since 2000.
