Blow offs!

The art of farts!

I’m in blogging mode today and am curious about blow offs. I’m also sitting here thinking wtf!, why are you even thinking about flatulence!. Here is my story and it DOES relate to art but more so to nature!

I was hanging a picture up that I acquired for my personal collection and one of my cats was doing his usual ‘Simon’s Cat’ act of getting in my way, then all of a sudden I smelt cat fart!

Gosh isn’t it strange how similar they smell to the actual food they eat? I mean, I know you are probably going to think that’s obvious, but if one was to eat something like strawberries they wouldn’t smell like that.

Anyway, my curiosity is more about what we see and how we would describe the smell, for example a green fog or brown cloudiness- why these colours? I get the brown, but why the green? Then it kind of puts people off these colours, on the flip side they are the colours that resemble a woodland- now my brain is ticking away.

I’m thinking about nature and all the colours and hues, from blue skies, a yellow sun and green grass to brown trees.

Nature can create every single hue possible, surely this is where we get our colour chart from. How do we actually manufacture colour?

I remember years ago I did an interior design course and the first thing we were taught was about primary and secondary colours, that black and white aren’t colours, this never made sense to me. Also like blue eyes, apparently if you have blue eyes, your eyes don’t have colour as it’s just a reflection? I must do more/less googling! And if you disagree then please do advise.

At the end of the day We have all endured and created flatulence, even the greatest art painters!

A totally silly blog, this I am aware of- but we need to break some stigma!!
